research project
Cowputer Vision
In this project we will investigate the possible applications of computer vision technologies for monitoring the behavior of dairy cows. Animal behavior can be a rich source of information, but there are technical challenges in analyzing it, especially for many animals over a long period of time. Computer vision techniques have proved effective in other domains, so it is likely that it can also be applied to the diary sector to help improve the health of the cows and sustainability of the farm.
